Needs of govt houses to be redressed on priority-'
MP Pawan Bansal extends Ganesh Chaturthi greetings
Chandigarh Member of Parliament (MP) Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal today assured the residents of government houses that he would on priority take up their needs with the concerned authorities.
He was addressing the residents of Sector 33 B during his visit to the campus of government cluster houses here today. He said he would stress on prioritizing upkeep and repair of these houses with the officials to facilitate comfortable living conditions for all those staying in government houses.
Mr Bansal has also extended wishes on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, a Hindu festival celebrated on the birthday (rebirth) of Lord Ganesha, which is celebrated in Maharashtra with great enthusiasm. He was speaking at a function organized by Maharashtra Mandal at Maharashtra Bhawan in sector 19 D here.
The MP said in Chandigarh a large population of Maharashtra residing here was enriching the culture of Chandigarh, the dream city of first Indian Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru.
Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal also held a meeting of the ward 16 booth level Congress workers from Sector 20 at his residence this evening. He appealed to them to work hard to strengthening the party by spreading awareness among people about the people-friendly policies of the Congress government at the center.
